It’s a multiverse of Disney dreams! Dreamlight Valley is a large region within a magical universe. The Disney Dream castle is the centerpiece of the realm amidst surrounding lands decayed by night thorns. Destroying these larger night thorns will unlock new biomes: a peaceful meadow, a dazzling beach, swampland, and more! Littered across the land will be your favorite pals from all things Disney! Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Elsa, Kristoff, Scar, Woody, Walle, Mother Gothel, and even Ursula. Speaking of that, Goofy is my favorite Disney character. What about you? Disney Dreamlight Valley is A Life Sim
So what’s it like to enjoy a life sim where I help out an assortment of my favorite Disney characters, both heroes and villains? Magical, of course! As a brief introduction to the game, the first cutscene provides information into the main character and their emotions. After feeling tired and exhausted from the boring and repetitive city life, they move back to a place from their childhood where things used to be much simpler. A place of comfort, of memories, of a real home. As they nod off to sleep under the stars, they wake up in a whole new dream world. A world called Disney Dreamlight Valley!
Video Game for Everyone
One of the main reasons that Dreamlight Valley is so appealing is because it’s a game that is suitable for players of all ages. Whether you’re a young child just starting to explore the world of video games, or an adult looking for a fun and entertaining way to pass the time, Dreamlight Valley has something to offer. There are many ways to explore Disney Dreamlight Valley. Mine rocks for ore. Strengthen character bonds with various questlines. Plant a whole biome of pumpkins (millionaire status, cha-ching!), peruse Scrooge’s store for fashion and furniture, and craft all sorts of things to enrich the valley exactly how you want.
Unique Character Interaction
All characters interact with each other at some point, so it’s a fun experience to witness the events. Every character has their own quirk. For example, Donald Duck has temper tantrums which are hilarious! I was talking to Scrooge and didn’t know I was in Donald’s pathway. Since Donald couldn’t move, he was just quacking and hollering and blowing steam out of his ears. It was intense and pretty silly! Ariel is unique because, well, she is a mermaid. She can’t walk around so she has to travel by the many different lakes in the area.
CREATIVITY in DISNEY DREAMLIGHT VALLEY
For creativity, the player’s house can be upgraded to hold more storage and increase the capacity size of each room. The house interior is completely free to design. Walls, floors, kitchen stove, storage, misc. items, etc. If you are in the mood for more decorating, you can even decorate all of the biomes and remove the trees. You can find lots of creative minds on YouTube with all sorts of awesome designer templates for each biome.
Need more fashion choices? Scrooge sells a lot of furniture and clothing items every day, but there’s even a limit on what he has available. No worries, you can even customize your own clothes with Disney magic, and you’ll have everything you need with the magic design tool! I just think the freedom of creativity for this type of game is a homerun.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Updates
Another reason why Disney Dreamlight Valley is such a great game is because it’s constantly updating and adding new content. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out, there’s always something new to discover in the world of Dreamlight Valley since it’s in Early Access right now. The developers are constantly working to improve the game and add new features, ensuring that players always have something fresh and exciting to enjoy.
There are plenty more characters to interact with throughout Disney Dreamlight Valley adventures with the free updates, such as Scar, Woody, Buzz, and Stitch! I delved 40+ hours into Disney Dreamlight Valley, and that was before the Toy Story update that just released. Note that there are a few quest bugs that are worse than others, but the developers do seem to try their best to get it fixed as soon as possible with each update. Some players have voiced frustration on social media as the support team never replies or leaves a response for the reports.
I Love the Written Dialogue
Give a huge bonus cookie to whoever wrote dialogue for the villain characters. With other Disney games, the villains become less of their true selves. You know, more nice and less toxic. In Disney Dreamlight Valley, Ursula and Mother Gothel still scheme for their own selfish reasons, so their questlines are really fun to play out. Ursula is all about power and magical artifacts. Mother Gothel wants to be young forever. Scar… Well, Scar wants to be king. And eat smaller creatures (sorry Remy).
Disney Dreamlight Valley is A Disney Fever Dream
Overall, Disney’s Dreamlight Valley is a fantastic game that is sure to keep you entertained for hours on end. Whether you’re looking for a fun and relaxing way to unwind after a long day, or a thrilling and exciting adventure to sink your teeth into, Dreamlight Valley has something for everyone. I loved being tangled (ha, get it?!) in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
